A FURTHER 160 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed on the Isle of Wight today (Tuesday), according to the latest government data.
This follows on from 104 cases confirmed yesterday.
Today’s cases bring the Isle of Wight’s total, since the pandemic began, to 25,961.
Despite this, the Island’s Covid rolling rate has fallen again today.
The Isle of Wight’s Covid rolling rate per 100,000, which is always five days behind, stands at 607.9.
Yesterday’s figure was 610.7, and 621.2 the day before.
The Island age group with the highest Covid rolling rate remains 10 – 14-year-olds, with a rate of 1563.4.
This number has also fallen from yesterday’s figure, which stood at 1,659.4.
The UK national rolling rate now stands at 938.2.
The latest Isle of Wight NHS data shows that a total of 24 patients are in St Mary’s Hospital with Covid-19, with three requiring the use of a ventilation bed.
From Thursday, January 27, mandatory Covid passes will end and face masks will no longer be required.
