The Isle of Wight NHS Trust has recorded a new death at St Mary's Hospital in Newport.
A patient who had contracted Covid-19 died on January 18.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 215 deaths on the hospital's wards and a further 151 in non-hospital community settings.
The Isle of Wight's overall case rate is falling, meanwhile. It was 609.3 per 100,000 people on January 14.
Rules changed on January 11, which means some people are no longer required to take a PCR test if they test positive on a lateral flow test.
168 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed yesterday (Wednesday) on the Isle of Wight, with new data due out at 4pm.
