ONE man dead, one charged with murder, and two others under investigation.
It has been a case that shocked the Isle of Wight this week.
We take a look back at how events unfolded.
Police were called to a flat in George Street, Ryde, in the early hours of Tuesday, January 4.
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed they did attend at 2.50am.
However, a second visit later in the afternoon is when the body of a man was found.
A cordon was immediately erected outside the building, in the heart of Ryde, and forensics were called to the scene.
The response of the police to the incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, an independent watchdog.
Neighbours near the property told the County Press they hadn't heard or seen anything untoward until the police's second visit, when the cordon went up.

The police launched Operation Amaryllis in relation to the murder investigation.
On Wednesday, January 5, police announced they had arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
He was held in custody and later charged. Piers Carl Brazier, who lives at George Street, Ryde, is set to appear in front of magistrates.
As part of enquiries, a 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of murder.
The 29-year-old has been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
The 28-year-old is still in police custody (according to the latest information from Hampshire Constabulary).
On Friday, January 7, police named the deceased as Scott Edward Cooper, 33, of Newport. His next of kin had been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Properties on New Street, Newport, and Jellicoe Road, Ryde, are among those searched by police in relation to Operation Amaryllis since the murder.
Police said there was no wider risk to the public, but appealed for information from any potential witnesses.
Investigations continue, and the police are particularly keen to hear from anyone that may have seen, or heard, anything out of the ordinary in the area on the evening of Monday, January 3, and into the early hours of Tuesday, January 4.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting Operation Amaryllis or 44220003393.
