Debs Harris, of Trumor Feeds near Newport, has been awarded the 2021 British Horse Society Unsung Hero Award.
This is presented by the Isle of Wight committee of the British Horse Society (BHS) to a local person who has made an outstanding contribution to the equestrian community here on the island.
Nominations from BHS members are invited each year.

In 1997 she took over Trumor Feeds, selling large and small animal feed, equipment, bedding and fencing supplies.
Debs has generously allowed use of her outdoor manege for dressage and showjumping events and for those without a school to come and practice.
Over the years her hospitality has been much appreciated and in Deb's own words 'we have had lots of fun'.
Those that know Debs will not have missed her quick wit and ready laugh. Advice and time to discuss products has made her a valuable asset to the equestrian community.
Debs mentioned how much the late Dave Corney helped her, he delivered her supplies and at one time stored her feed when the roof collapsed on her store.
As Dave was the first recipient of this award in 2017 - and in 2021 received one of the BHS's national awards - Debs felt honoured to also be a recipient of the Isle of Wight BHS Unsung Hero Award.
