MORE than 250 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed for the Isle of Wight today (Wednesday).
According to the latest government data, 254 cases of Covid have been recorded on the Island.
The Island’s rolling rate, which is always five days behind, stands at 646.5, up from 629.7 yesterday.
The worst affected age group on the Island, with the highest rolling rate, is 20-29-year-olds with a rate of 1,429.2, followed closely by 30-34-year-olds at 1414.
The latest data shows 22 patients are at St Mary's Hospital with Covid-19, three in ventilation beds.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 21,828 Covid cases on the Isle of Wight.
The UK Covid rolling rate now stands at 1,238.6.
Islanders have been telling the County Press they were unable to book a PCR Covid-19 test this morning.
