Now, Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon has named the song as his favourite of 2021.

Sky News asked a wide range of stars what their best song of 2021 was.

Simon Le Bon said: ""Wet Leg is definitely my artist of the year. This female duo is from the Isle of Wight and their track Chaise Longue is genius! I just love it."

Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club) added: "We both agree that Chaise Longue by Wet Leg is our favourite song of 2021."

The band appeared at the IW Festival this year, which was headlined by Duran Duran.

Wet Leg will release their debut album, also called Wet Leg, in April. They announced the album name exclusively in the IW County Press, their local newspaper.

The band appeared on Later with Jools Holland this year too, and played an NPR Tiny Desk concert, which was filmed at Ventnor Exchange.
