ROAD closures are in place following an incident involving a bus in Arreton, near East Lane, this evening (Wednesday).
A double-decker bus left the road and entered a farmer’s field at around 6pm.
The bus has remained on all four wheels during the crash.
Fire crews are in attendance liaising with police and ambulance.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has said that people were trapped inside the vehicle.
Road closures are in place at the Blackwater and Downend Road junctions with the A3056.
Southern Vectis has announced that the route 2 bus, which was due to depart at 5.45pm, from Newport to Ryde will not operate today.
