A three part show, made by Purple Productions, which was given special access, will be part of the channel's Christmas programming.
Heaven Made at Christmas will shine a light on communities of monks and nuns across the country, including those who live at Quarr.
A film crew was on site for around a month and the final shows will be shown on BBC One on December 5, 12 and 19, at 11.30am.
The making of Quarr Abbey Ale, book binding and a visit from St. George's School in Newport will all feature.
Filmwight, the Isle of Wight's film and production hub, said on Facebook: "Glad to see one of Island most unique locations is going to feature in a new BBC series..."
Three abbeys will feature and the residents' craftmanship and skill in the run up Christmas will be shared along with, says the production company, the true meaning of the festive season.
