SHANKLIN'S Auckland House Hotel, once owned by the now collapsed Carlauren Group, is again on the market.
The hotel, on Queens Road, closed suddenly in December 2019, following the collapse of the group, which also owned the derelict Ocean Hotel on Sandown seafront.
At the time, 64 staff were made redundant across the business, including 20 at the Auckland.
In April, both the Island hotels, plus King's House Bar, were sold by liquidators.
On April 21, 2021, the freeholds to seven properties, including the two Isle of Wight hotels, were passed to Phoenix Commercial Property Development Limited (PCPD).
Now, the Auckland House Hotel is on the market, for £900,000, via estate agent Fleurets.
The hotel is described as having been refurbished and upgraded throughout to a high standard.
There are 26 luxury bedrooms, including suites, with a bar, restaurant, sun terrace and two car parks.
