Free tops for drinks are being made available on the Isle of Wight, to keep revellers safe.

StopTopps are foil drink covers that sit over your cup or bottle, with enough space for a straw to go through.

Part of the We've Got You Covered campaign, Island venues are signing up to offer them.

Newport nightclub Fever Boutique is among those involved. On Instagram, it told customers to ask at the bar for a StopTopp.

Meanwhile Newport's Slug and Lettuce also provides StopTopps for those who request them.

It said on Facebook: "Please ask one of our staff if you would like one, and stay safe."

It follows a series of incidents on the mainland.
