Female players from the Island's golf clubs were pleased to be back raising money for Mountbatten — something they couldn't do last year due to Covid-19.
The popular annual Butterfly Competition has been running for over 20 years and has raised a considerable sum of money for the worthy cause.
The competition is run by a different golf club every year.
This year it was the turn of Cowes Golf Club and a cheque for £3,271.38 was presented to the fundraising community co-ordinator, Dani Johnson, on behalf of all the women from golf clubs across the Island.
Danni said: “This is an amazing amount of money considering we have been through such difficult times in the past two years.
"Fundraising within the community is very important to us.”
The competition was won by Denise Insley and Sandra Scourfield from Cowes Golf Club.
