COWES seafront has been battered by overnight storms, and considerable damage has been caused.

The Esplanade has suffered with railings lifting out of the ground, paving lifting and part of the wall collapsing.
A cordon has now been erected.
An emergency road closure is now in place for Esplanade Road, Cowes, from its junction with Queens Road, after the sea wall collapse.
It is deemed a danger to public.
