A WOMAN has been injured following a crash in Shanklin this afternoon (Thursday).
Emergency service teams are responding to a report of a car crashing into metal railings off Green Lane.
Police, ambulance and fire crews have all been called to the scene.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said fire crews assisted the casualty and helped free her from the vehicle.
Firefighters then provided immediate medical care, before handing the casualty over to the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Police are organising recovery of the vehicle.
Three fire crews from Shanklin, Ventnor and East Cowes were called to provide assistance, alongside two fire officers.
