Diversions are now in place.
Beachfield Road in Sandown has been closed this afternoon (Thursday) for emergency works.
Beachfield Road has been closed from its junction with Pier Street to its junction with Royal Street.
The closure is due to an emergency dangerous frame and cover repair by Southern Water.
The diversion will affect these streets: Avenue Road, Carter Street, Broadway.
The road will be open as soon as the work is complete.
