A NEWPORT man was fined £350 and banned from driving for 35 days after being caught speeding.
Thomas Phillips, 22, of Furrlongs, exceeded a temporary 50mph speed restriction on a motorway and was caught by automatic camera device.
On April 9, in Southampton he drove a Volkswagen on the M27 Westbound carriageway at 79mph, contrary to a temporary maximum speed restriction.
He pleaded guilty to the offence, which was heard at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court in September.
He was fined £350, and must pay costs of £90 and a surcharge of £35 — a total of £475 to pay.
