AN EMERGENCY road closure has been put in place in Ventnor today (Tuesday).

Gills Cliff Road has been closed, from its junction with Ocean View Road to its junction with Castle Road.

Island Roads says the closure is necessary to enable SSEN to carryout emergency repairs.

The diversion will affect Ocean View Road, Mitchell Avenue, Spring Hill, High Street, Victoria Street, Albert Street, Pier Street, Church Street, Alpine Road, Marlborough Road, Alpine Steps, Zig Zag Road, Castle Road and Gills Cliff Road.
