A new passport has been safely delivered to an Isle of Wight swimmer, after an urgent appeal on social media.
It means Zac Lacey will be able to head toย theย 1st Open Euro Tri Games, via Heathrow, as planned.
The event starts on Wednesday and Zac, who is a well-known Island athlete with Down Syndrome, flies out to Ferrara, Italy tomorrow lunchtime (Monday).
But a delay with the processing and delivery of his passport meant his competition plans were hanging in the balance.
Aiming for PBs in as many events ๐โโ๏ธ ๐โโ๏ธ as possible, Zac Lacey is looking forward to the Euro Trigames in Ferrara ๐ฎ๐น. Itโs been such a long wait for another international event and heโs determined to enjoy it.

A mammoth effort had already succeeded in getting Zac and his teammates' passports processed, thanks to a fast response from the UK passport office.
However, things ground to a halt when Zac's got stuck in transit, with just hours to go.
Thankfully, shipping firm FedEx has today (Sunday) stepped in to help.
The firm has mobilised its team to arrange for a very special Sunday delivery.
It means Zac has his passport and is ready to compete.
Zac told the County Press: "I am going to nice place to swim, but I have some really fabulous people in my community and country who have helped me get there.
"Thank you!"
Good luck in Italy, Zac!
