A FURTHER 108 new cases of coronavirus on the Isle of Wight have been recorded, pushing the total number since the start of the pandemic last year to precisely 12,173 — a massive rise of 671 since last Saturday's figures were released.
Public Health England's latest figures released today (Saturday) covers the seven days up to September 25.
The statistics reflect a more than doubling of the rolling rate on the Isle of Wight, from 220.0 last Saturday up to 445.6.
The Island figure has now overtaken the UK rolling rate over the past seven days.
The UK rate now stands at 359.5, a decrease of 38.1 in the past seven days.
