A GODSHILL man avoided jail when he appeared for sentencing at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court last Friday (September 24).
With a string of offences including several assaults, Levi Aaron Randall, 26, of Dubbers, was instead given a custodial sentence of four months, suspended for 18 months.
With alcohol at the root of his problems, he must undergo an 18-month alcohol treatment requirement with the probation service.
He was also ordered to pay £700 compensation. Five of his victims will get £100 each, and another £200.
His offences were three counts of assaulting a police officer, one count of resisting a police officer, one count of intimidating a witness, one count of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour, two counts of assault by beating, one count of criminal damage, and possession of cannabis.
He was also in breach of a community order.
