THE Island-based Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust will once again take on the 600-mile Brighter Futures Largs to Cowes cycle challenge next June.
Up to 20 cyclists will ride to inspire young people to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer.
Entries are now open to take on the incredible challenge to pedal 600-miles (965 kilometres) between the Trust’s bases in Largs on Scotland’s West Coast to East Cowes Marina.
For eight days from June 17 to 24, 2022, the riders will complete between 75-80 miles, with every penny raised helping inspire young people to believe in a brighter future.

Mark Stevens first sailed with The Trust from East Cowes in 2009, after three years of intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, and ten years later, he completed the first Largs to Cowes Charity Cycle Challenge.
Mark said: "Having the chance to undertake a physical challenge I knew would be both enjoyable and gruelling in equal measure was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
“It was such a wonderful way to travel the length of the country and experience the changing landscape from the saddle of a bicycle; it really allows you to breathe it all in and absorb nature and geography.
The 2019 Largs to Cowes Charity Cycle Challenge raised almost £42,500, enabling more than 70 young people living through and beyond cancer to benefit from a four-day Trust sailing adventure.
Robert Brown, the trust’s fundraising and events coordinator said: "Largs and East Cowes are special places for everyone associated with the Trust and being at the opposite ends of the country they provide the perfect route for any major fundraising challenge event.
“Whatever the reason, you’re invited to join the Largs to Cowes 'Trust Tribe'.”
