A SHANKLIN man has been arrested and charged following an incident in 2016 and the execution of a European Arrest Warrant.
Henry Thomas Henderson, 56, was charged yesterday (Thursday) after returning to the UK from overseas.
Mr Henderson, of The Rogers, was charged with kidnap and wounding with intent in relation to an assault which took place between 11.30pm and midnight on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, on Newport Street in Ryde.
Henderson was also charged with eight further offences relating to a drugs supply investigation.
These are four counts of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply, two counts of possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, and two counts of possession of a Class C drug with intent to supply.
He was remanded in custody.
A reward of up to £2,000 had been previously offered by Crimestoppers for information about the incident.
