Two warnings for wind and rain for the Isle of Wight will start this lunchtime (Saturday).
The national Met Office has issued a weather warning from 1pm until 10pm.
A spell of strong southerly winds is expected to affect some southern and eastern parts of England, including the Island.
The Met Office said: "Gusts are likely to reach 45-55 mph inland with 65 mph possible, along exposed coasts.
"Heavy rain will be an additional hazard, with as much as 30-40 mm of rain falling in 3-6 hours in some parts of south and south-east England."
Meanwhile, local forecasters have also issued a warning for the same period.
The Isle of Wight Met Service warns of wind gusts of 50-60mph, with localised gusts of up to 65mph or 70mph over high ground, along with exposed parts of the west and south of the Island.
In addition to the strong winds, we will also see some very heavy and persistent rain, with perhaps 20-30mm worth falling across some areas, says the service.
