IF YOU are going to see the new James Bond film, No Time To Die, look out for an appearance by a popular Isle of Wight name.
Bottles of Mermaid Gin and Mermaid Pink Gin can be seen available on the bar behind star Daniel Craig.
Their moment of fame prompted Mermaid Gin to publish the recipe for a perfect Mermaid Vesper Martini, which can be enjoyed in celebration of the film's launch.
Smooth and sophisticated, there's nothing quite like a Bond-inspired Vesper Martini. Breaking with convention, shaken, not stirred, is the only way to go.
The Mermaid take on the classic Vesper uses lime, instead of lemon, for a zesty kick that pairs beautifully with Mermaid Salt Vodka.
Go for 60ml Mermaid Gin, 20ml Mermaid Salt Vodka, and 15ml White Vermouth.
Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice. Give it a vigorous shake and strain into a glass and garnish with lime peel.
Mermaid Gin and Vodka are produced in Ryde at the Isle of Wight Distillery.
The launch of Mermaid Gin.
Mermaid spirits are shaped by the distillery’s stunning surroundings and the unique character of the Isle of Wight all while minimising waste using ethically sourced and often locally sourced ingredients to hand-craft a range of smooth, complex spirits, with a hint of sea air.
Parts of the new movie were filmed off the Island and some of the crew stayed in Ventnor.
