A FIRM favourite in the Isle of Wight calender book is returning this November.
Tickets have today (Thursday) been released for Wessex Cancer Trust's Drive-In Films for Christmas.
The event will feature six epic festive films screened across two days — to raise money for the charity.
Wessex Cancer Trust has secured the support of headline sponsors, Hose Rhodes Dickson, Find Us On Web and ICRTouch, to host the event in the car park at Robin Hill on November 20 and 21.
Saturday will see the screening of The Polar Express, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Love Actually, while on Sunday, Elf, Home Alone and The Holiday will be aired.
The films will run on a giant LED screen, with the soundtrack played through each car radio.
Regional fundraising manager, Lorraine White, said: “For many, it now signifies the start of Christmas, and what better way to get the season started than with a family trip to our drive-in cinema to see your favourite festive film?
“We're always blown away by the popularity of these events and we’re sure this year’s Christmas drive-in will be yet another sell-out success.
“Thank you to everyone who supports Wessex Cancer Trust by coming to our fundraising event — we could not continue to help Island families without you.”
All money raised will help Wessex Cancer Trust support Islanders living with cancer.
Tickets for each screening are limited and available at www.wessexcancer.org.uk/event/xmas-drive-in
Anyone interested in becoming an event sponsor, or advertising their business or Christmas event on the big screen at the event, should contact lorraine.white@wessexcancer.org.uk
