Wroxall Primary School welcomed the local community in to see the newly refurbished school late last month.
The £2 million project has increased the size of classrooms and the school hall to create light and airy learning environments and there’s a new library, playground, food tech room and intervention spaces within the school.

The open day was also supported by a visit from donkeys from the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, the Ventnor fire crew and local PCSO Justin Keefe.
The teachers got a soaking!
Headteacher Lynn Torrance said: “Fun was had by all.
"Thanks to the PTA who organised a fabulous morning with children performing a carnival dance and running stalls.
"The fire crew were keen to lend a hand by soaking the unfortunate staff who volunteered to be placed in stocks on the playground.
"The school dog mentor, Otis, was on hand to join in the celebrations and meet all of the visitors too.”
