THE Isle of Wight section of the Vintage Motorcycle Club held its annual display in St Thomas's Square on Saturday.
More than 50 motorcycles attended, ranging from a 1926 Sunbeam Model 5, the same as the last side-valve machine to win the Isle of Man TT in 1923, to a 1995 BMW R80R, belonging to the Motorcycle Club's Graham Mew.
The judges for the display were Dave Bowmer from Bournemouth and Reg Glading from Niton.
The County Press Cup, given to first place, was awarded to a beautifully restored 1939, 750cc, V-twin Rene Gillet, owned by Kim Bien of Binstead.
Second place was a 1937 Royal Enfield Model K, and in third was a 1951 Vincent Grey Flash.
The event was held to support and raise money for Age UK Isle of Wight and the total amount collected is to be revealed.
The two-day event, called the September Scurry, continued on Sunday with a 66-mile navigational run around the Island's lanes and byways, starting and ending at the Orchards Holiday Park in Newbridge.
