Covid booster vaccines have started to be rolled out into the Island's care homes.
Orchard House Care Home in Newport was pleased to welcome doctors from Newport Health Centre who administered Covid 19 boosters for staff and residents.
General manager, Kim Fleming, said: “I am so proud of my staff. As a home we feel it is very important that we are all vaccinated in order to keep our residents as safe as we possibly can and to not put the NHS under unnecessary pressure.
"We remain vigilant and do the very best we can for our residents, ourselves and our families.”
The home currently has 51 residents and the majority were vaccinated, along with eligible members of staff (who had had their second vaccine before the end of March).
