THE Covid rolling rate has risen on the Isle of Wight from 220 to 250.9 in just one day.
The rate is five days behind and reflects high rates of Covid registered between September 20 and 23, when between 82 and 94 cases were added daily.
The UK rolling rate, which is a measure per 100,000 people, is currently 332.1.
Today, a further 62 confirmed cases were recorded — the same number as yesterday.
It takes the Island's cumulative total, since the pandemic began, to 11,564 cases.
Numbers of Covid patients in St Mary's Hospital has dropped recently, to 21 people in hospital with Covid as of Tuesday, including two on ventilators.
