A FURTHER 62 new cases of coronavirus on the Isle of Wight have been recorded, pushing the total number since the start of the pandemic last year to precisely 11,502 — a massive rise of 454 since last Saturday's figures were released.
Public Health England's latest figures released today (Saturday) covers the seven days up to September 18.
The statistics reflect a marked decrease in the rolling rate on the Isle of Wight, from 267.8 last Saturday to 220.0.
The Island figure has seen its gap with the UK rolling rate considerably bridged over the past seven days.
The UK rate now stands at 321.4, a decrease of 0.7 in the past seven days.
