A second Isle of Wight hospital patient has died this week, after getting Covid-19.
A person died on September 21, according to NHS data published yesterday (Thursday) - the 170th since records began on the Island.
A death was also reported here on Wednesday.
A further 137 people have died in the community since March 2020, which includes care homes and private homes.
72 cases of coronavirus were added to the Isle of Wight's running total yesterday (Wednesday).
Meanwhile, government data shows the number of patients with Covid-19 being treated at St Mary's Hospital fell to 21 (from 30) this week - suggesting some patients recovered and were discharged.
