ISLAND landmarks have been lit up in a green glow tonight, to celebrate the Isle of Wight NHS Trust being rated Good by the Care Quality Commission.
As part of the celebrations St Mary’s Hospital main entrance and the iconic Koan will be lit green, the CQC colour for services rated Good, at night for a week.
And just for tonight, in support of the trust, the Isle of Wight Council agreed that Guildhall in Newport can be lit green for a night, and the walls of Carisbrooke Castle are too.
Four years ago the trust was rated Inadequate and placed in Special Measures for the poor quality of its services.
Today, all that has turned around, despite the challenges of a global pandemic.
