THE award-winning Grace's Bakery is to permanently close its Cowes shop this Friday (September 24).

In a post on Facebook, it was revealed that a lease would not be renewed.

In the statement, staff marked the ‘end of an era’ - following 12 years in Cowes.

The post read: "It's been such a pleasure and we are endlessly grateful to all our customers that have supported us during that time."

Grace's Bakery has confirmed that its Cowes staff will relocate to its Newport High Street and Pyle Street stores.

It also has branches in Yarmouth, Ryde and Shanklin.
