FIVE times Olympic winner Sir Bradley Wiggins enjoyed one of the Isle of Wight's best-loved treats yesterday — a pit stop at French Franks.
The popular eaterie, which has branches in Ryde, Cowes, Newport, and Newport Industrial Estate, welcomed Sir Brad and his fellow cyclists to the Cowes cafe.
It was particularly exciting for staff member Lottie, herself a triathlete.
Sir Brad is leading the Le Blanq Legendary Joyriding tour, along the Isle of Wight's scenic Military Road, this weekend.
It is all about cycling and good food and has previously visited Perthshire, in Scotland.
Raymond Le Blanc had planned to be here for the twice-postponed event, but was unable to make this weekend. Instead, Bibendum's Claude Bosi replaces him, alongside Ashley Palmer-Watts.
