A WOMAN who fell off her scooter in Ryde this afternoon (Tuesday) has thanked the individuals that helped her while she was in difficulty.
Emergency service teams were called to a reported crash involving a motorcyclist in Ryde at around midday today.
Among those called to the scene at the junction of St John's Road and Warwick Street was a single fire crew asked to provide scene safety.
The casualty was taken to hospital for treatment.
Posting on Facebook following the incident, Eden Judge said: "I'm currently at the hospital awaiting checks, but thank you so much to those people who helped me.
"I was in massive shock, as I suffer with things like that in general, but thank you also to the people that gave their blankets to me.
"This Island is so kind."
A spokesperson for Isle of Wight Police said: “We were called at 11.38am today to reports of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Warwick Street, Ryde, resulting in the motorcyclist being injured.
“We are assisting the other emergency services in dealing with this incident which is ongoing.”
