It is hoped parents who are interested in Wroxall Primary for the next intake year will be able to attend, as well as current pupils, their families and the surrounding community.

Isle of Wight County Press:

You can discover all the new facilities at the open day on Saturday.

There will be stalls, games, food, a bouncy castle and an ice-cream van.

Last year, Wroxall Primary de-federated from the Stenbury Federation and appointed a new headteacher, Lynn Torrance.

She said: "Wroxall Primary School is a rapidly developing school with grand ambitions and plans for moving forward.

"We were fortunate to have been identified for an extensive £2 million refurbishment programme, which was completed in the summer term 2021.

"This investment has ensured that the school is well placed for modern teaching and learning.

"In addition to six spacious classrooms and additional learning areas, we now have a purpose-made food tech room, library and a stunning school hall.

"Our newly refurbished playground also offers an excellent outside space for children to learn and play. We are looking forward to continuing to develop our other outside areas during the coming year.

"With the building work now complete, Wroxall Primary is an exciting place to be.

"With a team of dedicated, forward-thinking and hard working staff, children have settled extremely well in the new school year and are enjoying being back in school.

"We are also soon looking forward to welcoming our own school dog, to join the staff team very soon.

"We are keen to open our doors to the community to see our unique school in action."
