SATURDAY night proved a busy one for both Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams who stepped in to help with a variety of incidents.
Firstly, at 6.10pm, they assisted when a vessel ran aground in Bembridge.
A motor boat was hard aground of Bembridge Ledge with three people on board who needed to be extracted.
They requested the help of Bembridge RNLI Lifeboat, an anchor was laid and the casualties extracted.
Late in the evening at10.36pm the teams were paged to a female casualty who had been in the water at Sandown.
The incident was resolved quickly and the woman was handed into the care of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
However, while completing the job, the Ventnor team was alerted to a collapsed male in Sandown, just up from the beach.
It was just minutes before midnight and the team responded quickly, with a casualty assessment and further care given while awaiting an ambulance.
