A FURTHER 55 new cases of coronavirus on the Isle of Wight have been recorded, pushing the total number since the start of the pandemic last year to precisely 10,750 — a rise of 450 since last Saturday's figures were released.
Public Health England's latest figures released today (Saturday) covers the seven days up to August 28.
The statistics reflect a considerable increase in the rolling rate on the Isle of Wight, from 307.1 last Saturday, to 354.2 today.
The Island figure has seen its gap with the UK rolling rate considerably bridged over the past seven days. The UK rate stands at 407.
