Firefighters from Shanklin and Sandown were called to the scene.
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a property fire in Shanklin this morning (Friday).
At 11.36am, two crews from Sandown and Shanklin were called to the scene on Green Lane.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said an alarm had been set off by overheated cooking.
A pan was removed from the property and taken outside.
Crews stood down just after midday.
