IT’S a new era of pantomime this year at Medina Theatre in Newport as Made to Measure Productions invite the audience to believe ‘Anything is Possible’ in their exciting new production of Cinderella.

The magical story will be brought to life from page-to-stage in a production created especially for the theatre, featuring stunning scenery, colourful costumes, toe-tapping tunes, laughter by the bucketful and eye-popping special effects.

The timeless tale follows heroine Cinderella on a mission to make her dreams come true as she heads off to the royal ball to meet her very own Prince Charming.

But not everything will go quite to plan as her wicked Ugly Stepsisters have more than a few tricks up their sleeves to prevent poor Cinderella from getting her happy ever after.

No need to fear though, her hilarious best friend Buttons is always on hand to cheer her up, and with a sprinkle of sparkle, her magical Fairy Godmother will ensure she gets to the royal ball in style, in what is promised to be a spectacular transformation sequence.

Lee Redwood, creative director for Made to Measure Productions, said: “We are absolutely over the moon to be producing the pantomime for Medina Theatre this Christmas.

"Having visited the venue in 2019 with our grown-ups only production of Dick Whittington, we can’t wait to get back to Newport and create magic for a whole Christmas season.

"Cinderella really is the most magical pantomime of them all, and it’s the perfect production to revitalise the festive cheer in style.”

As well as enjoying the show from the auditorium, audiences will get the chance to join the cast on stage in a new immersive panto experience.

Everyone who attends the show gets their very own invitation to the ball, allowing them to get up and boogie the night away in Prince Charming’s Royal Ballroom.

Make sure you can go to the ball by calling the box office to book your tickets.

This year’s production will also feature special grown-ups only nights — a panto without kids.

Cinderella runs from December 23 to January 3.
