A CARISBROOKE pub has made the decision to close following a positive case of Covid-19.
The Eight Bells, on Carisbrooke High Street, has closed with immediate effect.
The decision follows a child of a key member of staff testing positive for the virus.
No members of staff have tested positive, the pub has confirmed.
The news comes just a day after Halfords in Newport was closed for a deep clean, following a positive case in the shop.
More than 60 new positive cases were confirmed on the Isle of Wight yesterday (Thursday), and 125 the day before.
