A CAR has rolled onto its roof in Ventnor this afternoon (Wednesday) following a single-vehicle collision.
UPDATE: Hampshire Constabulary makes arrest after Ventnor crash
Emergency service teams have been called to the scene on Ventnor High Street, near Spring Hill.
An incident has taken place outside Perks of Ventnor and the High Street Bar Company.
The County Press has been told the one person in the car managed to leave the vehicle.

Eye witnesses said the driver appeared to flee the scene.
A single fire crew from Shanklin has been tasked to provide scene safety and assist police.

The car is believed to have hit a give-way sign, but no one is thought to be trapped.
It follows a similar incident back in June, when a car crashed into one of Fez Turkish Barbers' windows.
UPDATE 9pm:
The car has been taken away on a recovery truck, and police have made an arrest in the area, thought to be in relation to the incident.
Hampshire Constabulary has been approached for a statement.
