Dash and Splash is back in Sandown Bay this morning (Saturday).
Raising funds for Aspire Ryde, it is a 5-kilometre dash between Shanklin Rowing Club and Yaverland.
There are 43 groynes to negotiate, with 14 that must be splashed around (in ankle-deep water at low tide).
However the water comes up to your waist at two groynes - where safety marshals will be on hand to help.
Ready for the off.
More than 100 people are taking part in aid of Aspire Ryde, which supports vulnerable Islanders with food parcels, hot meals, prescription deliveries and daily supportive phone calls.
