THE Isle of Wight will be among hundreds of national destinations to screen a star-studded tribute to the early music of Fleetwood Mac next month.
Mick Fleetwood and Friends Celebrate the Music of Peter Green will feature a back catalogue of the legendary band's tracks, performed by icons such as Noel Gallagher, Pete Townshend, Steven Tyler, Bill Wyman and Mick Fleetwood himself.
The event, which pays tribute to the music of founding member, Peter Green, who died last year, will be screened for two nights only, from 7pm to 930pm September 7 and 12, at Ventnor Arts Club and Newport's Cineworld.
The show will feature exclusive behind the scenes footage and interviews, having been recorded at the London Palladium last year,
Tracks performed include seminal Fleetwood Mac classics, such as Albatross, Green Manalashi and Need Your Love.
Peter Green was a founding member of Fleetwood Mac and had a huge impact on the band, as well as being recognised as one of the greatest musicians in the world.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame together with Fleetwood Mac in 1998.
Rolling Stone magazine rated him as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of all time.
