Repairs have been carried out to Shore Hill, known locally as the Cascades, which was damaged in major flooding yesterday (Monday).
The Ventnor road has now re-opened, says Island Roads.
Damage was caused when there was too much water for the drainage systems to cope with.
According to the Isle of Wight Met Service, nearly 10cm of rain fell in a matter of hours.

A further update is expected today.
Nearly 100 calls were made to the Island Roads call centre to report flooding, during intense rain between 6am and 11am.
