Ventnor is among the Isle of Wight towns hit by flooding and torrential rain today (Monday).
A large crack has appeared in Shore Hill, also known as Cascades, near the Winter Gardens (scroll down for a photo and video).
Island Roads said: "Temporary traffic lights are in place. Full assessment to be carried out when the water levels subside."
The road remains passable and our reporter, Lori Little, has been on scene this lunchtime.

Videos show gushing water and lifted manhole covers, in what the Environment Agency described as 'intense rain'.
In Ryde, more than half month's rain fell in just two hours, leading to a flood alert.
A weather warning for rain and thunderstorms has been issued by the Met Office - which says there could be more to come.

A large crack has appeared in Shore Road, Ventnor, near the Winter Gardens. Island Roads is on the scene and the road is closed.
Meanwhile, the Milbay Inn, in Ventnor, shared a video (posted by Aiden Ould) of a waterfall of rain cascading to the Esplanade earlier.

The venue had earlier posted a video of the rain.
Tracey Tredwell posted a picture of a listed manhole cover, above the Esplanade, as water gushed out the mains.
Below it, Ventnor's famous paddling pool has been deluged by rainwater.
