HAVING seen its events put on hold since 2019, Sandown Carnival has come up with an alternative way for families to dress up and have fun.
Organisers have announced a virtual fancy dress event and inviting people to send their entries before the deadline at midnight on Wednesday August 25.
Sandown Carnival chair, Paul Coueslant, said: "People have told us how much they’ve been missing the Island’s summer parades, so we thought we’d provide an outlet for all that creative talent bursting to express itself.
"We’re offering cash prizes in four categories for our free to enter fancy dress competition and hope people will have a lot of fun putting together their entries"
To take part you will need a camera and Google account. There are four age categories, and cash prizes for the top three entries in each.
The entry form and further details can be found on the Carnival’s Facebook page and further information is available by emailing either paul.coueslant@btinternet.com or harryfinnis1@gmail.com
