Two birds of prey caused a flap at Morrison's Lake store on Wednesday.
The protected sparrowhawks found themselves stuck in the atrium foyer of the store, leading to a rescue operation to return them into the wild.
Isle of Wight County Press Camera Club members Josh Thomas and Dave Krowson became involved, along with a falconer from Haven Falconry at the IW Steam Railway.
Dave told the County Press Josh had phoned him to ask for advice.
"He got the manager of the store and the guy from the falconry involved.
"We were worried they would become disorientated, hot and hungry but the falconer managed to get them out OK.
"Josh was the real hero of this for spotting the birds and bringing it to people's attention."
