A huge rigged tall ship - the largest square-rigged sailing ship in the world - is at anchor off East Cowes today (Sunday).
The steel-hulled SV Golden Horizon was designed by a Polish naval architect for a Swedish-based firm and was built in Split, Croatia.
The vessel is based on France II, a 1910s-built French five-mast cargo windjammer.
An argument over finances meant the boat, originally named Flying Clipper, was 'arrested' this week and was unable to leave Dover, delaying its maiden voyage, according to reports.
However Tradewind Voyages, which describes the atmosphere on the Golden Horizon as 'relaxed, casual, elegant', and the ship as having 'grace and beauty,' said paperwork was being completed ahead of the journey.
It later sailed along the south coast, to Devon.
This Sunday lunchtime, the impressive ship is causing a stir off the Isle of Wight, just 24 hours after a superyacht was at anchor just off the coast.
