After weeks of crossings being rearranged, Wightlink's flagship Victoria of Wight appears to be back on The Solent again this morning (Monday).
The ferry had been expected to return to service tomorrow (July 13).
Wightlink's website has been warning of delays and rebookings since Victoria of Wight was withdrawn last month.
A problem with one of its engines was blamed.
Because the ferry is the biggest in the fleet, its withdrawal led to scores of passengers being allocated other crossings instead - at all times of night.
Among those affected was a passenger who was due to visit his grandparents, but whose ferry was offered a departure and an arrival just one hour apart.

Another had to cancel a hospital appointment.
