The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service was called to a medical incident in Sandown.
EMERGENCY services were called to Lake this afternoon (Thursday) following a medical incident.
A woman in her 50s had suffered a medical episode on the junction of Sandown Road and Newport Road.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire Constabulary said:“At 1.39pm, we were called to assist the ambulance service at a medical episode on the junction of Sandown Road and Newport Road in Lake.
“A woman, in her 50s, was extracted from her car by the fire service and taken to hospital.
“Her vehicle has since been recovered.”
